The Performance Horse

From the beginning of civilisation, man and horse have had a very strong relationship.  Horse were domesticated and utilised to cultivate the land, for transportation and for sport.  The modern horse is quite different from its ancestors. 

 

We now purpose breed animals to run faster, jump higher and perform at elite levels for extended periods of time. In our pursuit to create the ‘perfect’ animal, we have modernised their diets (processed foods),  transport them long distances, confine them for extended periods  (stabling and floating) and interfered with their normal reproductive process (synthetic hormones). 

 

As natural therapists we endeavour to replicate horses’ natural environment in doing this, we enhance the longevity of our equine athletes career ….. naturally, of course!
