Bio-Active Jelly Bush honey is the identical plant species to NZ's Manuka honey (Manuka = a Maori word) .  UMF 5+ (typically in excess of UMF 7)

Called Leptospermum scoparium, Manuka, Tea tree or Jelly Bush, it is a shrub common to New Zealand and Australia which has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antimicrobial properties to name a few.

The natural phytochemical properties found in Jelly Bush honey have potent antibacterial cleansing qualities with proven health benefits when taken internally or applied externally to the skin for various conditions. Externally it is very effective against resistant strains of bacteria such as “Golden Staph”

Jelly Bush honey provides a moist, occlusive environment conducive to optimal wound healing for the management of moderate to heavily exuding wounds such as:

  • greasy heel
  • burns
  • cuts, scrapes, scratches, cuts, inflammations
  • Traumatic and surgical wounds
  • uclers and open wounds
  • acid reflex/gastric or peptic ulcers
